Yellow Book Co. Inc., Acquires Yellow Book of Pennsylvania

Rockville Centre, NY, (November 28, 1995) -- Joe Walsh, President of Yellow Book Co. Inc., announced that Yellow Book Co. Inc, one of the largest non-telephone company publisher of yellow pages directories in the U.S., has acquired Yellow Book of Pennsylvania, a publisher of local community directories in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

Founded in 1930, Yellow Book has grown through both start-up and acquisition to now publish over 130 directories in Nassau, Suffolk, Brooklyn and Queens counties in New York and Palm Beach and Broward counties in Florida. The company also publishes the Business-to-Business Directory in its New York market. Yellow Book Co. Inc.'s offices are located in Rockville Centre, New York.

Yellow Book of Pennsylvania publishes 19 community directories in Montgomery and Bucks counties, with a total circulation of 350,000. The company, with offices in Huntingdon Valley, PA, has been in business for 35 years. Tom Levien, formerly President of Yellow Book of Pennsylvania, will join Yellow Book Co., Inc. as a Vice President.

Joe Walsh, President of the acquiring company stated "Yellow Book of Pennsylvania has a strong franchise in its local markets. These books serve local communities and provide advertisers with an effective medium to target their markets. We plan to build on the existing organization to grow into a larger regional publisher. Yellow Book Co., Inc., with this new acquisition, distributes more than 3.5 million yellow pages directories in New York, Florida and Pennsylvania.
