Convenience and Ease-of-Use Coming to Consumers in Morristown/Jefferson City, TN Area

UNIONDALE, NY (May 7, 2003) - Yellow Book USA, the nation's largest independent directory publisher, is publishing a new directory in East Tennessee in November. The Morristown/Jefferson City Yellow Book will benefit both consumers and businesses alike as the new directory was specifically created with their commuting and shopping patterns in mind. The new directory will offer tremendous convenience to area residents with thorough information about the entire area in one, easy-to-use directory.

The new directory will include business yellow and white page listings, residential white pages, coupons, maps, restaurant menus and community and government information for the entire Morristown/Jefferson City area, including the towns of Avondale, Talbott, Rutledge, New Market, Witt, Russellville, Joppa and Buffalo Springs.

The new Morristown/Jefferson City Yellow Book will complement Yellow Books in nearby Knoxville, Smoky Mountain and Western North Carolina areas. More than 45,000 directories will be delivered free to residents and businesses later this year.

"The new Yellow Book will offer a startling and refreshing contrast to the current directory in Morristown/Jefferson City and not only with the convenience items such as coupons and menus that we build into all our books," said Joe Walsh, president and CEO of Yellow Book USA. "We studied commuting and shopping patterns of area residents and designed our book to serve those needs."

The oldest independent yellow pages publisher in the United States, Yellow Book now publishes in more states than any other yellow pages publisher. Yellow Book USA is an innovative industry leader, producing books that are easier to use and provide a full range of convenient features, including business and residential listings, larger print, area maps, zip code information, coupons, restaurant menus and a comprehensive listing of community services.

"Just like in the scores of other markets we serve across the country, our advertising rates are nearly half of what BellSouth is charging Eastern Tennessee's businesses," said Walsh, "We offer a better product at a better price and we're proud to help merchants grow their business without depleting their advertising budgets."

Businesses in the Morristown/Jefferson City can anticipate successful results similar to those enjoyed by other southeastern Yellow Book advertisers:

  • "We receive at least three to four calls a week from the Smoky Mountain Yellow Book. We continue to increase our program each year since the return on investment is so great." - Jim Swindells, Just Furr-Pets

  • "When the Smoky Mountain Yellow Book was delivered in June of last year, I started receiving a large number of telephone calls from tourists and local Sevier County residents. Other than word of mouth, this is my best form of advertising." - Dr. Tom Walker, Mountain Chiropractic

  • "We track all of our advertising investments and have found that the Smokey Mountain Yellow Book has given us the best return on investment." - Julie E. Wilson, Gateway Mortgage Company

Established in 1930, Yellow Book USA is the oldest independent yellow pages publisher in the nation. In recent years, Yellow Book has made a number of strategic acquisitions and entered scores of new markets. The 2002 acquisitions of McLeodUSA's telephone directory publishing unit and the National Directory Company have extended Yellow Book's presence into 41 states and the District of Columbia, more states than any other U.S. yellow pages publisher.
