Yellow Book USA Blankets the Greater Lynchburg Area

Consumers and businesses to benefit from new directory

UNIONDALE, NY (April 22, 2005)Yellow Book USA, the nation's oldest and largest independent yellow pages publisher, announced that it is expanding its coverage in Virginia.  The new Greater Lynchburg Area directory extends Yellow Book's footprint into the southwestern portion of the state.  Yellow Book currently publishes successful directories throughout eastern Virginia, including Richmond, Fredericksburg and the Piedmont area.

The Greater Lynchburg Area Yellow Book will offer residents comprehensive business yellow pages, business and residential white pages, community and government information, local area maps, restaurant menus and money-saving coupons.

Joe Walsh, President and CEO of Yellow Book USA, explains, "Our goal at Yellow Book is to produce a superior directory, rich with content.  We believe that our success, as well as that of our advertisers, is achieved by meeting and exceeding the needs of yellow pages users."

In addition to providing residents with information and choices, the Greater Lynchburg Area Yellow Book covers an area served by multiple phone company directories and offers local businesses a cost-effective advertising opportunity.  In fact, Yellow Book's advertising rates are less than half the combined cost of the Verizon Bedford and Lynchburg directories, the two primary phone company directories in the area.

Walsh adds, "By offering affordable rates, we make it possible for businesses of all sizes to enjoy the benefits of yellow pages advertising.  The more businesses that advertise with Yellow Book, the more buying information there is for consumers."

Established in 1930, Yellow Book USA is the oldest and largest independent yellow pages publisher in the nation. In recent years, Yellow Book has made a number of strategic acquisitions and entered scores of new markets. Yellow Book now publishes around 600 directories in 43 states, plus the District of Columbia with a distribution of over 82 million.
