| Leading Independent Publisher enters Hartford, Connecticut Market
Uniondale, NY (July 27, 2005) --Yellow Book USA, the oldest and largest independent yellow pages publisher in America, announced today that it will be publishing a new Hartford, Connecticut directory.
The new Hartford Yellow Book will provide wide area coverage in one easy-to-use directory. With advertising rates significantly lower than the phone company directory, many local businesses will find they can afford to advertise with Yellow Book. This will present consumers with new buying choices, creating a "win-win" for both advertisers and consumers.
"Yellow Book is creating a directory that meets the specific needs of Hartford area residents by covering the areas where they shop and do business," said Joe Walsh, President and CEO of Yellow Book USA. "And local area businesses will benefit from the opportunity to reach their target market without having to pay high advertising rates."
The new Hartford directory will expand Yellow Book's presence in the state of Connecticut, where it currently publishes eleven successful directories. Yellow Book directories are packed with information and special features, such as money-saving coupons, restaurant menus, stadium seating charts, area maps, zip codes and more.
199,000 copies of the new directory will be distributed to homes and businesses in the Hartford area in February 2006.
Established in 1930, Yellow Book USA is the oldest and largest independent yellow pages publisher in the nation. In recent years, Yellow Book has made a number of strategic acquisitions and entered scores of new markets. With this acquisition, Yellow Book will publish approximately 900 directories in 46 states, plus the District of Columbia with a distribution of over 100 million directories.
