Campaign presents Yellow Book's print and online products as a path to "advertising enlightenment" that can reach customers wherever they search
UNIONDALE, NY (July 9, 2007) - Yellow Book USA, a leading national yellow pages and online local search company, announced today it has launched a new high-profile national television ad campaign, created by Trahan Burden & Charles (TBC), that positions its print and online products as an easily-accessible and comprehensive way for business advertisers to grow their customer base.
Launching nationally on July 9, the spots depict television and film star David Carradine playing the part of the mystical ad "Guru" who reveals to questioning business owners that an effective way to increase their customer base is through Yellow Book's advertising products. The campaign demonstrates how businesses can reach customers using a variety of Yellow Book channels, including traditional print directories, Internet yellow pages, and search engine advertising through Yellow Book's WebReach program. The new advertisements also introduce Yellow Book's new tagline: "Wherever you look. Yellow Book."
"Yellow Book's growing product portfolio connects potential customers with our advertisers anytime they search for buying information," said Joe Walsh, president and CEO of Yellow Book. "Our ads are a fun way of showing how we offer an easy-to-use, time-saving way for small businesses to make the most of their marketing dollars in print, online, or both."
"As the world of search advertising evolves, Yellow Book wants to show that its products are poised to help small businesses gain customers," said Allan Charles, TBC's founding partner and chief creative officer. "This campaign demonstrates Yellow Book's ability to help these small businesses advertise to customers using whatever method will be most effective, regardless of whether that means using new technology or traditional paper and ink."
Yellow Book's product portfolio offers extraordinary breadth and depth for advertisers both in print and online. With nearly 1,000 print directories and a circulation of approximately 123 million, Yellow Book is the largest independent directory publisher in the U.S. Yellow Book's online search tool, yellowbook.com, was recently recognized by comScore as the fastest-growing Internet yellow pages directory, with an 85 percent year-over-year growth rate. WebReach, Yellow Book's search engine advertising program, helps businesses manage online ad campaigns using some of the most heavily-trafficked networks on the Internet, including Google and Yahoo.
David Carradine has starred in more than 115 feature films, including award-winning Bound for Glory, and box-office hits Kill Bill Vols. I and II. His other works include 80 starring roles and guest appearances on television, most notably the critically acclaimed series Kung Fu.
